Starting up during lockdown
So the start of April wasn’t the best time to go freelance. It has, however, given me plenty of time to define what Do Learn is all about: what I want to achieve and who I want to work with. I want to return to my roots and work with all the sectors that have spanned my career of over 25 years.
I aim to support charities, developing programmes to meet the specific focus of their trust or CIC, working small scale, low budget and cascading skills down from staff to volunteers and the wider community.
I will continue support the private sector of independent schools and early years settings, working with their curriculum, specific goals and needs at a time and in a way that suits them.
Equally, I will maintain links with the public sector through SDP, PCS - tender and quick quotes. I will be delivering coaching work, projects and training for early years, primary and tertiary schools. I am also returning to the classroom to be a supply teacher for Perth and Kinross Local Authority.
So now my policies and paperwork are all in place. My training courses are updated with new research and approaches and I have even helped entertain my neighbours children and showing how to make resources for learning on a very tight shoestring! Oh, and I have improved my social media skills - joining twitter and LinkedIn…
