Working at Loch Lomond National Park

For well over a year now I have been supporting Loch Lomond National Park with community projects, educational sessions and work with the conservation volunteers/Young Rangers team.

This has been a diverse and enjoyable experience.

We have:

  • Cleared tonnes of rubbish off Arrochar beach,

  • Cleared out many meters of ditch up Conic hill,

  • Led a range of geography field trips- looking at physical geography (glacial landforms, fault lines and path erosion), human geography (tourism & facilities management) or simply walking up the hilll and meeting your first highland cow!

  • Supported parents and children to enjoy nature within the national park (running intro to den building , fire management or environmental games sessions).

  • Taken diverse groups to places then may not go…
