make your own resources by learning knots and beyond..
Do Learn love a knot, hitch, bend, lash or creation by a child that holds things together or connects something. Great for motor skills, curriculum coverage and creating your own resources.
A simple way to explain the differences - they are not all Knots!
Use the correct terms with children - working end, standing end, loop, bight…
Knots - strong, but can be hard to untie often drawn into a knob/lump.
Hitches - very strong in one direction, easy to undo in the other.
Bends - used to connect one rope/cord to another.
Lash or binding - connecting objects using multiple winding with tension (perhaps 2 sticks).
